Did you know………that Wayne grew up in Queenstown being the son of crib owners from Invercargill. He then studied law in Dunedin, followed by a few years wandering the planet before saving a few bob mining in Mt Isa, Perth. He returned home to Queenstown in 1982 and bought his first passenger launch The Hydrofoil Meteor III, offering cruises on the Lake. Here is a fabulous photo of it up on its foils.
